Dato' Ooi Chin Loo, joined the Municipal Council of Penang Island as an Administrative Officer. He served various sections of the Secretariat Departments with increasing responsibilities until his promotion as the Principal Assistant Secretary in 2001 and thereafter as the Municipal Secretary in 2002. He retired from public service and joined Ivory Properties Group Berhad as Senior Project and Planning Manager in August 2008. He was leading the Planning Department as well as to oversee the operations of the Technical, Engineering, Property Management and Construction Department of the company. Dato' Ooi was promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer in 2010 where he was responsible for the overall implementation of housing development projects and management of the company's properties. Dato' Ooi was appointed as the Executive Director until he left the company in year 2017. In January 2018, Dato' Ooi then became the Company Advisor of G Reka Management which provides real estate related services such as project management, consultancy, property development, building construction as well as sales and marketing coordination. In June 2019, Dato' Ooi was also appointed as the Director of Hemat Tuah Sdn. Bhd., a company principally engaged in property development and property investment. He left G Reka Management in April 2025.
